January is Penguin Month!

Picture
One Book One School Project

As part of Crestwood Primary School's "One Book One School Project," each classroom is reading Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater.  This school-wide read aloud is a creative way for students to connect with Miss Harr's scientific work in Antarctica.

Family Movie Night

On Friday January 20th, students and their families can attend a Family Movie Night from 6-8pm at CPS.   Come in your pajamas and bring blankets for sitting while we watch the show!  We will be providing water and popcorn for you to enjoy during the movie.

Students Earn a Free Book!

For participating in Penguin Month, students earn a free penguin book!  This is a nonfiction book called Penguins written by Kathleen Zoehfeld.

Above is a movie that will be shown at the Mr. Popper's Penguin night.  Enjoy!

January 20, 2012 was Penguin Day!

Mrs. Kelly was lucky enough to catch a few penguins at Crestwood Primary on January 20.
