Student Work

Over the summer, Miss Harr made plans with Roxanne Sorrick to use technology to document student work while Miss Harr is in Antarctica. Much of what the students do will support the eTech grant partnership between the Hiram College Education Department and Crestwood Primary. Check back often for updates!

How will Miss Harr Stay Healthy in Antarctica?

In December, students from Miss Harr's class worked with kindergartners from Mrs. Stamm's class and Mrs. Curfman's class to create a bulletin board. Watch the slideshow below to see what the students think Miss Harr will need to do to stay healthy while at the bottom of the earth!

When Mrs. Sorrick came in to class on Wednesday, January 11, the students were excited to share what they had learned from emails with Miss Harr. Mrs. Sorrick asked the class what they thought Miss Harr was doing in Antarctica. Some of the ideas students included on their pictures and in their writing are below.

Miss Harr might be...

reading, studying, using a magnifying glass, looking at penguins, riding on a ship, looking at wingless insects, using a camera, and much more! We'll keep thinking about this as we continue to talk with Miss Harr! Watch the class video below.

Mrs. Crowe's First Grade class has been busy writing penguin facts to showcase in the hallway.  Way to go first graders!

Penguin Song

To finish off Penguin Month, Mrs. Sorrick came in to teach us a Penguin song. We read the words on the slides and sang along. We sound pretty good!
