Yuta Kawarasaki

Originally from Japan, Yuta Kawarasaki is a fifth-year doctoral student at Miami University, OH.  This is his third trip to Palmer Station, where he will investigate mechanisms of winter survival in larvae of Belgica antarctica.  He will arrive in late February and stay through May.
